　　天气预报播报员郭靖（冯淬帆 饰）即将退休，成为新闻播报员的愿望却始终没有实现，膝下三个儿女亦各有烦恼：大女郭美美（毛舜筠 饰）强悍娇蛮，其夫姚明（曾志伟 饰）憨厚老实，夫妻关系在妻强夫弱的事实下逐渐失衡；二女郭晶晶与下属乐易瓦（黄宗泽 饰）在玩地下恋，不思 进取却受女性欢迎的男友令她没有安全感；小儿子郭富城是个宅男，他希望将自己的女神Vivian（张馨予 饰）从大富豪Roberto（苏永康 饰）手上救aaa。一家子正烦恼之际，2012末世谣言越传越盛，发觉真相的郭家人决定协力阻止Roberto收购电视台，平息香港市民的恐慌，郭靖也终于实现播报重要新闻的夙愿。
